A Victory in New York

Governor Spitzer now intends to drop his crusade to give illegals, drivers licenses. This is a major win for all tax-paying "legals" in New York. The people have spoken and Spitzer now has time to come up with more crazy policies instead of tackling major issues such as reform. It seems to me as it is business as usual in Albany.

I agree it is about time that our governor got on track and started to pay attention to the real problems that we have in New York. This plan would have continued to enable those in our country that are here illegally, which last I looked was still a crime. We need a plan that will help the U.S keep track of immigrants, and yet allow them to do the jobs that most Americans will not.
As for out governor, it is about time that he got on track, and started to make our state a little more livable. Over that past ten years New York has enjoyed one of the highest tax rates in the country. I think that I remember a plan in our governor’s speeches that said something about a break for the middle class, it’s time!
